"Well, of course, they do," Drake quacks. "Do you think that I'm just swimming around in the ether of your imagination all day, doing nothing? I'm working here!"
And so, as promised, I've posted a small snippet of my writing from last night. When reading, you must keep in mind that this is RAW WRITING and that there is much editing that will be done before the entire book is ready for public consumption. Also be aware that this snippet is from a scene that falls in the middle of the book. That's one of the luxuries of being a plotter... our dense outline gives us the freedom to waddle around the manuscript and write wherever and whenever Drake feels it's right. After all, he's at the helm of this ship, not me!
"Darn right. One of us should know what's going on!" Drake is a very confident duck.
I realize that you don't have a lot of context to go on... but I would appreciate any comments you might offer about the scene itself. Feedback of any kind will be helpful to Drake and me when it comes time to edit.
Visit The Last Strand page of my website to read Snippet #1 and leave a comment. Thank you!
